Sauce Queens Copycat "Signature Salsa" Jan 31st 2014, 23:00 This company's salsa is good but after a lot of experimentation, I'm now able to make salsa just like it at home. Not even my friends can tell the difference in a side-by-side taste test and it's a lot cheaper than paying $4.99 for a tiny tub! | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 31, 2014 11:00:43 PM | | GLUTEN FREE Pumpkin Spice Bread Jan 31st 2014, 22:58 This is my GF adaptation of Recipe 71732, a much loved and devoured quick bread from my pre GF days. I am THRILLED to say that I think this recipe is as close to the original as GF can possibly be. It is moist, has that perfect heavy hearty texture and tastes simply divine! In my experience using an IMMERSION BLENDER, as opposed to a beater style, results in the creamiest, smoothest batter. As anyone who eats GF can attest to, it is hard to make a GF batter creamy and an immersion blender does this. You do have to use a spatula to ensure that you are getting the ingredients off the bottom and sides of the bowl more than you would with a traditional mixer, but that small inconvenience is worth it to me. I have never made this recipe with a traditional mixer. | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 31, 2014 10:58:16 PM | | Breakfast Brownies Jan 31st 2014, 22:58 A healthier brownie and an breakfast-to-go | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 31, 2014 10:58:01 PM | | Oven-Fried Orange Chicken Jan 31st 2014, 22:57 From http://www.farmgirlgourmet.com/2012/08/oven-fried-orange-chicken.html | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 31, 2014 10:57:18 PM | | Favorite Fried Salmon Cakes Jan 31st 2014, 22:56 Forgot to take something out of the freezer for dinner? My family likes my version better than the "Sauce Queens" brand! This sauce has wonderful, creamy, full flavor that compliments instead of overwhelming. We use it in place of mayo all the time. Perfect with steaks, London broil, prime rib, burgers, sandwiches, meatloaf, fish, an addition to your potatoes and even hot dogs! Amazing versatile sauce. | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 31, 2014 10:54:42 PM | | Protein Hazelnut Smoothie Jan 31st 2014, 22:53 This is a quick way to get more protein in your diet. It is the best comfort food to have on a chilly day. We serve it with Texas Pete hot sauce here. If you have leftovers, either reheat a portion in a microwave oven, or very slowly on the stove top. | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 31, 2014 10:51:59 PM | | Lactation Oatmeal Cake Jan 31st 2014, 22:51 From Rosie Ridge Farm's original recipe, I added a few things to make this lactation friendly. Because GF flours settle more than traditional flour I don't use measuring cups for making my flour blend. Any kitchen scale that measures in grams will work for this. You can play with what flours you use-see http://glutenfreegirl.com/2012/07/how-to-make-a-gluten-free-all-purpose-flour-mix/ for more ideas and explanation of the 40/60 ratio | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 31, 2014 10:48:56 PM | | White Sauce Lasagna (Lasagna Bianca) Jan 31st 2014, 22:48 A lasagna made with peas, mushrooms and italian sausage in a white sauce instead of a typical tomato sauce. This recipe was first introduced to me by my Italian sister in law. It might take a bit of extra time to make (maybe a few extra pans) but believe me it is well worth the effort! http://anitalianinmykitchen.com/2014/01/27/white-sauce-lasagna-lasagna-bianca/ | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 31, 2014 10:48:52 PM | | |
