Pizza Sauce Classic

The anchovies in this pizza sauce are there for the subtle saltiness and unique savoriness and not just so you can tell your friend (the one who really hates anchovies) that they just ate some. Note: As a suggestion, give a small splash of good balsamic vinegar to the sauce after taking off the heat.

Apple Butterscotch Coffee Cake

A sweet, moist coffee cake with a bit of crunch. Great for brunches, or potlucks. Keep one in the freezer for unexpected company, your sure to get lots of compliments.

Tofu Hoisin With Broccoli, Red Pepper and Walnuts

This recipe takes a little more prep time than most of my other recipes but it's so delicious I don't mind. This is adapted from a recipe in Jeanne Lemlin's "Vegetarian Pleasures." I modified it so it is more in keeping with our Nutritarian eating style. To shorten prep time, you can use frozen broccoli and jarred garlic. You can serve it over whole grain rice if you wish. Pressing tofu: Cut it into 1/2 inch slices. Lay the slices out on a clean kitchen towel that has been folded in half or a couple of layers of paper towel. Fold the kitchen towel over the tofu slices or place additional paper towels on top. Cover with a small cutting board and place 6 to 8 cans on top to weight it down. Let tofu sit at least 30 minutes before cutting it into 1/2 inch cubes.

This is a scratch recipe, adapted from Food and Wine, that is a dead ringer for the ones I enjoy at Ruby Tuesday's. I like it because it uses plain flour instead of Bisquick.

Super Cheap Yoghurt Pasta

I love this family recipe because it is wonderfully cheap to make and always saves the day when you have hardly any money left (a great rescue plan especially the last few days before pay day). Its delicious, filling, quick and easy.

Melt in Your Mouth Chicken Casserole With Biscuit Topping

I adapted this recipe from one someone else posted and it has become my go-to casserole any time unexpected guest arrive and I want a fast meal because I usually have all the ingredients on hand. It's also very popular with my family anytime. The prep time does not include cooking time for the chicken. This recipe is great to use up left over chicken or turkey and I've even used a pre-cooked chicken from the deli.
