Blackberry Salad Feb 12th 2014, 23:35 This was a delicious salad! I made it to take advantage of the ripe blackberries that were in season. I wish I had taken better notes as I was cooking, but this is what I remember (it was too good not to save at least an approximation here): | Rating: 0 Created: Feb 12, 2014 11:35:56 PM | | 2012 Mincemeat Pie (No Sugar Added) Feb 12th 2014, 23:09 A 1663 recipe is quoted in The Margaret Rudkin Pepperidge Farm Cookbook. "To Make Fine Pies after the French Fashion: Take a pound and half of Veal, two pound suet, two pound of great Raisins -- stoned, half a pund of Prunes, as much of Currans, six dates, two Nutmegs, a spoonful of Pepper, an ounce of Sugar, an ounce of Carowayes, a Saucer of Verjuyce, and as much Rosewater, this will make three fair Pies, with two quarts flour, three yolks of Eggs, and half a pound of Butter." In the old tradition, I used what I had and I am recording it so I can duplicate it another time. I am considering it a work in progress. It was great served with eggnog cream. | Rating: 0 Created: Feb 12, 2014 11:09:24 PM | | Edamame and Shrimp Salad Feb 12th 2014, 22:20 This is fantastic with Triscuit Triangular Wafers.Thank you to Recipe #95208 for inspiring this shrimp and edamame combinanation. | Rating: 0 Created: Feb 12, 2014 10:20:42 PM | | Peach and Prosciutto Salad Feb 12th 2014, 21:18 This is from Super Food Ideas and is a no-cook meal and I think would be great on those hot days - the photo was mouth watering and so fresh and colourful. | Rating: 0 Created: Feb 12, 2014 9:18:43 PM | | Vanilla Slice Feb 12th 2014, 20:52 This is from Good Chef Bad Chef and what I liked about the recipe is that it does not have the thick icing on top just a dusting of icing sugar as I always found that the icing made it sickly sweet and often as not removed it. I am hoping to make this soon for the DH but he has requested that I do so without the jam. Please note that our sheets of puff pastry are approximately 11"/28cm squared. Cooking time includes cooling down and chilling time and is estimated. | Rating: 0 Created: Feb 12, 2014 8:52:35 PM | | Caramel Macchiato(Vegan Style) Feb 12th 2014, 20:51 Hate the calories and the high price tag of your favorite Macchiato?
