Louisiana Praline Cake
Dec 27th 2013, 22:08

This cake has all the ingredients of a Praline! But to me, in a much more enjoyable way of eating it...a cake!

Pork Tenderloin With Orange Marmalade
Dec 27th 2013, 21:49

I couldn't get food.com to accept 1 tbsp plus 1 1/2 tsp coarse grain mustard, so that is why it is on two lines in the ingredient list. Hope it's not too confusing!

Chicken Puttanesca
Dec 27th 2013, 17:39

Sometimes making your own tomato sauce takes only minutes longer than warming a prepared sauce, yet the result is so much more delicious. This spicy Italian classic meal of chicken, olive-caper tomato sauce and pasta will satisfy the whole family.

Bal's No-Butter Butter Chicken
Dec 27th 2013, 15:23

Entered for safe-keeping, from Bal Arneson, "Spice Goddess". I generally enjoy her recipes and I can't wait to try this lightened version of one of our favorite dishes, a very mild curry. I started using grapeseed oil because of Bal; it has a high smoke point and the saut?ed food tastes "clean". I have learned that in Indian cuisine it is paramount to have fresh spices. I store my ground spices in the freezer. For this dish, you could puree the onion, garlic and ginger in a food processor prior to cooking, which will ensure a smooth, thick sauce. Serve with roti or rice.

Easy Sausage Calzones
Dec 27th 2013, 14:03

Saw this recipe on Pioneer Woman. I hope I live long enough to make all these recipes that I want to make. I am counting the thawing time with the prep time. You can also use 2 loaves of frozen bread instead of the frozen dinner rolls

Apple Cranberry Brie Appetizer
Dec 27th 2013, 13:38

Was served this delightful dish at a party. Everyone raved over it! If you are making this for a party, I recommend using an 18-20 oz. wheel of brie and doubling the other ingredients.

Homemade Maple Syrup Cookies
Dec 27th 2013, 13:13

These are faintly sweet, with a hint of maple syrup flavoring. You can add a small extra amount of maple syrup for more flavoring. Got this recipe while shopping at Amish Acres here in Indiana.
