Homemade Sunflower Seed Milk Dec 15th 2013, 23:37 My friend made me some sunflower seed milk and it was delicious. She used apple juice instead of water. You could substitute some or all apple juice if you like, leaving out or reducing the maple syrup or honey. You do need to soak the sunflower seeds at least 8 hours. | Rating: 0 Created: Dec 15, 2013 11:37:59 PM | | Butternut Squash and Cauliflower Soup Dec 15th 2013, 23:26 If you like curry, you can add a teaspoon of curry powder before you pur?e the soup. It can be easily adjusted to your own taste. This recipe makes a batch equal to approx 2 cups. It will keep fresh for months if stored in a cool, dark place (kitchen cabinet or pantry). I make it in bulk and fill little 4 oz baby food jars (labels off and decorated, of course), to give as gifts to neighbors and friends over the holidays. I hope you enjoy my rub recipe. (If you want to make a "one time use" batch, my friend has a very similar, but ever so slightly different, version you may wish to try... The chops really benefit from the bacon, making them moist and flavorful. You can also do on the grill if you prefer. | Rating: 0 Created: Dec 15, 2013 9:18:31 PM | | Oven Fried Paprika Chicken Dec 15th 2013, 20:42 If it is not summer and we're not grilling, this is my favorite way to make chicken in the house. I love deep-fried chicken, but I dislike making it. This is the next best way to enjoy the taste without the mess and guilt. I hope you enjoy it. *Note: Prep time includes refrigeration time. | Rating: 0 Created: Dec 15, 2013 8:42:45 PM | | Salted Caramel-Cashew Bars Dec 15th 2013, 19:34 I came across a lot of different Salted Caramel Cashew Bar recipes this season and everyone had one reason or another as to why I would not make it. So this is my tweaked version of Tutti Dolci's recipe. | Rating: 0 Created: Dec 15, 2013 7:34:10 PM | | Parsley Potatoes Dec 15th 2013, 17:32 I used to love when my Mom made parsley potatoes growing up. It was one of my favorites. I finally decided I should make some of my own. I used butter instead of vegetable oil (personal preference). These are quite tasty. I used everything from Snickers to Peanut Butter Cups--whatever I could find in the cupboards. I'm glad I doubled the recipe. I skipped the parchment paper and didn't miss it. Serving size is estimated. Be sure to toast your walnut halves! This salad would also be good drizzled with extra honey on top. | Rating: 0 Created: Dec 15, 2013 4:11:18 PM | | Paleo Pumpkin Pancakes Dec 15th 2013, 13:12 From the Vegan Paleo Cookbook | Rating: 0 Created: Dec 15, 2013 1:12:56 PM | | |
