Blueberry Blackberry Crisp (Clean) Aug 18th 2013, 22:42 I love farmer's markets and all the fresh berries that I do NOT have to pick! I brought home some fresh blueberries and blackberries and made a fabulous, healthy crisp. I am "leaning" into clean eating so have been modifying a lot of my favorite recipes to be clean, higher in nutrition, and even more awesome. | Rating: 0 Created: Aug 18, 2013 11:42:25 PM | | Blueberry Blackberry Crisp (Clean) Aug 18th 2013, 22:42 I love farmer's markets and all the fresh berries that I do NOT have to pick! (Read the label) Most restaurant dressings have anchovies, and if not most waitstaff are unaware that Worcestershire Sauce has anchovies. Also most hard cheeses are made with animal rennet so check that Parmesan. In Colorado, King Soopers deli has non-animal rennet Murray's Sartori Sarvecchio Parmesan. No cheese in dressing but consider this when you top your salad with Parmesan. Home made croutons are also the best - see additional recipe. | Rating: 0 Created: Aug 18, 2013 9:21:16 PM | | Fat Matt's Favorite Thin Crust Pizza Aug 18th 2013, 20:20 This is my best home made pizza recipe. I like it, you might like it.... but be careful, its definitely not for the weight watcher. | Rating: 0 Created: Aug 18, 2013 9:20:53 PM | | Pumpkin or Sweet Potato Pie Aug 18th 2013, 20:20 This came from a Tea Room (closed many years ago) in Easton, MD. I believe it was given to my grandmother in the 1950s. It has been a family tradition for over half a century, no other pumpkin pie will do! | Rating: 0 Created: Aug 18, 2013 9:20:16 PM | | Buttermilk Biscuits Aug 18th 2013, 20:19 Adapted from Grandma's Kitchen | Rating: 0 Created: Aug 18, 2013 9:19:55 PM | | Chilli and Garlic Avocado Dip Aug 18th 2013, 20:19 I first made this recipe as an accompaniment to grilled steak, sliced into strips and then dipped into the er...dip. Great finger food ! My wife is the only one who complains about " too much chilli and garlic " where as most my friends sometimes complain " not enough !" you can add or decrease to your taste. Food blender is required. Good quality " just ripe" avos are essential. In the beginning, used to add some smooth cream cheese as well...so you can try it with or without. | Rating: 0 Created: Aug 18, 2013 9:19:36 PM | | M D'aloiso's German Plum Cake Aug 18th 2013, 20:19 A delightful, sweet dessert cake perfect for September when plums are plentiful. A streusel top covers fresh plums atop a sweet lemon cake with hints of almond, atop lightly toasted almonds on the bottom. The yellow from the lemon zest and the red from the plum skins add striking visual appeal. The recipe was translated by a friend from the original German, so some quantities are expressed in grams. A digital kitchen scale is recommended. | Rating: 0 Created: Aug 18, 2013 9:19:19 PM | | Anything Goes Croutons Aug 18th 2013, 20:16 Almost anything tastes better than store bought croutons, hence "anything goes". I've made this with any bread product hanging out in my freezer; bread, hot dog or hamburger buns, even pita bread. | Rating: 0 Created: Aug 18, 2013 9:16:49 PM | | Snappy Burgers Aug 18th 2013, 20:16 This is out of an old company cookbook. | Rating: 0 Created: Aug 18, 2013 9:16:33 PM | | |
