Pressure Roasted Potatoes With Herbs - 2.5 Qt Pressure Cooker Jan 9th 2014, 23:51 Entered for safe-keeping, ideal for pressure frypan, from Kuhn Rikon's "Quick Cuisine". This method gives potatoes the golden brown look of oven-roasted potatoes, and infuses the herb flavoring into the onion sauce. With pressure cooking, the flavor stays in. | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 9, 2014 11:51:03 PM | | Bow Tie Sausage Pasta Jan 9th 2014, 17:27 Adapted from a Pinterest recipe-- I lightened it up a little bit- but not too much- it's still cheesy and yummy! My kids don't like "red and green thingies" in their food, so I use a hand blender on the Ro-Tel before adding it to the pot. | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 9, 2014 5:27:48 PM | | Turkey Enchiladas (Perfect for Weight Watchers) Jan 9th 2014, 14:24 I love enchiladas, but I don't like the grease and excess fat when using ground beef. Nor does the fam like corn tortillas. So I swapped the beef for turkey, the corn tortillas for whole wheat tortillas and the sour cream to low fat sour cream. There is so much flavor in these, you won't miss the fat! | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 9, 2014 2:24:52 PM | | Oatmeal Bread (ABM) Jan 9th 2014, 14:24 I made this to make my son's PB&J sandwiches. I scavenged it from BH&G Biggest Book of Bread Machine Recipes. This is for a 2 pound loaf. | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 9, 2014 2:24:41 PM | | Collard Greens With Onions and Olives Jan 9th 2014, 14:24 This was inspired by a recipe in "Wild About Greens" by Nava Atlas. It fits in well with my Nutritarian eating style. You can reduce prep time by using pre-chopped or frozen collards, frozen chopped onion and jarred garlic. The recipe also works well with Kale or Chard. | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 9, 2014 2:24:31 PM | | Ma's Kare-Kare Jan 9th 2014, 14:24 Filipino Peanut Butter Oxtail Soup | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 9, 2014 2:24:15 PM | | Red Quinoa, Almond and Arugula Salad (By Marco Borges) Jan 9th 2014, 14:20 This recipe was posted in US Magazine in December. It says that this is one of the recipes that Marco Borges fixed for Beyonce and Jay Z for lunch during their 22 day vegan challenge. While I try to eat vegan every day for lunch (for health reasons) I had to assume this recipe would be a winner if meat eaters liked it. And guess what - it's a FABULOUS recipe!!! I did swap out lemon infused olive oil which I think it what put mine over the top, so if you don't have it I highly recommend adding a squeeze of lemon to your dressing. WOW was this palate pleasing. Note: If you like a lot of dressing and aren't counting calories, feel free to double the dressing. | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 9, 2014 2:20:04 PM | | Easy Meatloaf Jan 9th 2014, 14:19 quick easy to make for one of those cold winter nights when you just want some yummy in the tummy! | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 9, 2014 2:19:39 PM | | Gluten-Free, Protein- and Fiber-Rich Chocolate Strawberry Muffin Jan 9th 2014, 14:19 A creation of mine mixing about three different recipes found on the internet. I am always on the hunt for something that my ridiculously extremely picky husband and son would eat that could help supply them with nutrients they may not otherwise consume. This was a big hit between them, which for me, is a win! Feel free to improvise and substitute! | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 9, 2014 2:19:16 PM | | Mexican Red Quinoa Bowls Jan 9th 2014, 14:17 I made a bunch of red quinoa the other day and now I am looking to find yummy ways to use it up. I found a handful of recipes online, but they were all salad-ish with vinegar and that's not what I wanted. I wanted something warm and comforting, yet flavorful and healthy. This was the result of my cooking experiment and it is delish! You could also feel free to serve it in a wrap with some lettuce or use it as a side dish. If you don't have limes, a little sour cream on top will give the dish that same tang. Diced avocado or sliced radish would be great as toppers too. | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 9, 2014 2:17:53 PM | | Easy Pasta Fagioli With Sausage Jan 9th 2014, 14:16 This is a delicious and easy Pasta Fagioli recipe that is absolutely delicious! Everyone I make it for Loves it! Learned this recipe from my ex boyfriends mom and it is one of my favorite Fall and Winter comfort meals. If you want a quick easy meal for the family this is it. Serve with your favorite bread and you have a wonderful meal. | Rating: 0 Created: Jan 9, 2014 2:16:30 PM | | |
