KateL's Tweaked World's Best Lasagna
Jan 20th 2014, 23:48

Adapted from John Chandler's "World's Best Lasagna" on allrecipes.com. Many reviews said he had too much salt and sugar in his recipe (some reviewers said they were "obvious" typos). I also made some changes recommended by the Allrecipes Test Kitchen. The anchovy paste and red pepper flakes were my idea.

Japanese Vegetable Barbecue
Jan 20th 2014, 15:04

Any firm vegetable, cut into small pieces, can be used. Cook over charcoal if you can, or under the broiler if that's not possible. Store extra sauce in the fridge, it keeps well and can also be used to baste whole vegetables baked in the oven or to accompany sauteed vegetables. From Lesley Downer's "Japanese Vegetarian Cooking", 1986.
