The most flavorful polenta I've ever had! I like this with a veggie ragout on top.

Lamb Shanks in Cranberry Sauce
Nov 17th 2013, 19:47

This is one of the tastiest lamb shank recipes I've ever tasted. The cranberry sauce adds a lovely sweetness to the dish, but not too sweet.

Lamb Stew With Raisins
Nov 17th 2013, 18:06

I found this adaptation of a Swiss lamb stew in the Wall Street Journal, and it sure is easy, yet tasty. I served it with mashed potatoes, but I think I'll try it with mashed cauliflower next time.

Herbed Slow Cooker Chicken
Nov 17th 2013, 11:21

This is a recipe from Taste of Home Magazine which I read in a waiting room. I borrowed the magazine for the recipe and will return it at the next appointment(I swear I will). It is moist and very flavorful.

Pumpkin Butter Tea Cakes With Orange Glaze
Nov 17th 2013, 11:11

These little cakes are very light, because there's no butter or oil in the batter. However, do not use fat-free yogurt; you still need a little bit of the fat in here. Different brands of pumpkin butter vary in their sweetness and spice level, so adjust the sugar and spices to suit your taste. (I used my own homemade pumpkin butter, recipe #509564). Geoff and Bobbie's Spinach Terrific
Nov 17th 2013, 11:10

I don't know where I got this recipe and I do not know who Geoff and Bobbie are, but they make a really good Spinach casserole and the recipe is very easy, too.

Winter Squash Butter
Nov 17th 2013, 10:56

Pumpkin and other winter squashes are already lightly sweet. Roasted, pureed and cooked down with spices, they make a delicious sweet spread, reminiscent of pumpkin pie, but lighter. Adapted from http://bit.ly/18GjP1b at Food52.

Hard Squash Spread
Nov 17th 2013, 10:43

This is a riff on hummus, using winter squash instead of chickpeas. Really tasty, one the yummiest things to come out of my kitchen in a while. Adapted from http://bit.ly/1ayOfWk at Food52
