Fresh Fruit With Greek Yogurt Dip/Dressing May 27th 2013, 22:27 This is great with all kinds of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, bananas, grapes, canteloupe, apples, etc.). When one of my friends stayed with me during a visit, I came up with this for a quick breakfast before we headed out for the day. If I make it for just a few people, I serve it on the side so you have the option to dip your fruit or top it with as little or as much as you prefer. I make a big bowl of fresh fruit (8-10 cups of whatever is in season) along with this recipe. I have also served it for a family brunch and used this as a yogurt dressing for the fruit. I came back with no leftovers, and several requests for the recipe. This stuff is good!!! | Rating: 0 Created: May 27, 2013 11:27:33 PM | | Pea Spaetzle With Mint, Chives, and Tomatoes(Austria) May 27th 2013, 21:53 Making spaetzle is easy, with no fancy equipment needed: a coarse grater, colander, or wide perforated spoon or ladle with 1/4-inch holes will work well. This recipe is part of New Austrian Cuisine, via Bon Appetit. The original recipe calls for pumpkin seed oil, but as it may be hard to find I have substituted sunflower seed oil. You will need a spaetale maker, ricer, or piping bag to make the spaetzle. | Rating: 0 Created: May 27, 2013 10:51:46 PM | | Frozen Chocolate Raspberry Bombs May 27th 2013, 21:31 From Tyler Florence's cookbook "Fresh", these look so good! I will change the heavy cream to coconut cream to make this vegan. | Rating: 0 Created: May 27, 2013 10:31:33 PM | | Bahama Cobb Salad(Vegetarian) May 27th 2013, 21:27 Making recipes from around the world, vegetarian style. Very easy to make, but do it the night before to give them time to cool ALL the way. They're better the next day anyway. If you need to leave out the nuts just up the amount of fruit. | Rating: 0 Created: May 27, 2013 9:32:25 PM | | Wasabi Sesame Noodle Salad May 27th 2013, 20:22 Subtle warmth, not hot. Soba is a nutty-tasting, brown buckwheat noodle, although some other versions are available in Asian markets. Tofu (or cooked chicken or shrimp, if non-vegan) would be a great protein addition. If you can't find black sesame seeds, use whit ones or substitute a smaller amount or sunflower seeds or pepitas. Note that this is easily split into to desserts. I ususally make a smaller one for home and a larger one to take to whatever event I'm bringing dessert to. | Rating: 0 Created: May 27, 2013 8:53:42 PM | | Angel Hair Pasta With Cherry Peppers May 27th 2013, 19:45 Best served with grilled Italian sausage on the side, with garlic bread, light salad and with a good dry wine.
