ChuckwagonCookie's Easy Beef Brisket Sep 19th 2013, 17:52 Easy grill and oven cooking for a juicy, delicious brisket! And a great sauce! You can't rush this one, plan on at least six to eight hours. | Rating: 0 Created: Sep 19, 2013 6:52:38 PM | | My Neighbor's Meat Sauce Sep 19th 2013, 17:52 I have always hated tomato based sauces (even ketchup) until my neighbor had us over for dinner and served this. Makes a huge batch so I generally use half for spaghetti and then make lasagna's with the rest. | Rating: 0 Created: Sep 19, 2013 6:52:20 PM | | Bacon Sage 'n Dill Thanksgiving Stuffing Sep 19th 2013, 17:52 Bacon, fresh sage, fresh onion, fresh dill, and fresh roasted turkey Pan Juices gives a very "down home" flavor to this festive stuffing. We always use a very high-quality Sourdough Bread (my favorite to use in a stuffing is Potato-Rosemary Artisan bread). We usually start cooking stuffing when the Turkey has almost finished cooking, to get the pan juices. Local Butcher Shops and Delis sell Turkey pan juices around Thanksgiving, also. | Rating: 0 Created: Sep 19, 2013 6:52:15 PM | | Down-Home Thanksgiving Turkey Gravy Sep 19th 2013, 17:51 This classic Turkey gravy has a slightly smoky/bacon flavor. Pan juices from a freshly Roasted Turkey, as well as a genuine Turkey Stock, put it way over the top. Trader Joe's sells Turkey Stock around Thanksgiving, and if you don't have access to fresh Roasted Turkey Pan Juices, most local Butcher Shops sell separate Pan Juices around the holidays, also. | Rating: 0 Created: Sep 19, 2013 6:51:07 PM | | Broiled Tomato Sandwich Sep 19th 2013, 14:39 Fresh, ripe tomatoes are marinated in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then broiled with Parmesan cheese on toast. Serve warm with a bowl of soup, if desired. This takes a plain 'ol tomato sandwich to a whole new level with a nice Italian twist! I toasted some thick slices of Italian bread and added a bit of salt to the tomatoes. I decreased the amount of herbs in the mayo mixture a bit to taste. I also added some fresh basil over top of the tomatoes and a bit of mozzarella cheese along with the Parmesan. The balsamic marinade on the tomatoes really adds a nice tang to the sandwich. | Rating: 0 Created: Sep 19, 2013 3:39:02 PM | | Sweet Potato-Beet Hash (Melissa D'Arabian) Sep 19th 2013, 13:45 Recipe by Melissa d'Arabian (as seen on Food Network). Made this for my diabetic mother-in -law several times (but I omitted the salt and used low sodium bacon). Hope you enjoy this recipe. | Rating: 0 Created: Sep 19, 2013 2:45:54 PM | | Italian Burritos Sep 19th 2013, 13:45 My family really likes the traditional bean burritos but, I really wanted to experiment and try something new. It was a hit just a really good take on a meatball sandwich. | Rating: 0 Created: Sep 19, 2013 2:45:17 PM | | Enchildadas We Love a Lotta!!! (VERY Cheesy) Sep 19th 2013, 13:42 Honestly, it's your typical enchiladas (kinda) with a few of my twists and kicks in there. I fixed this for my husband for the first time last night, and he said it is way better than anything you find in a restaurant somewhere. Thanks, baby!! You can take away some of hte cheese and/or cut this in half. This recipe made enough for us to have it twice and lunch. You can EASILY half this recipe, and adjust the cheese for your liking. | Rating: 0 Created: Sep 19, 2013 2:42:13 PM | | Chocolate Chip Pancakes Sep 19th 2013, 13:39 From CBC show Best Recipes Ever. Really easy and delicious! | Rating: 0 Created: Sep 19, 2013 2:39:46 PM | | Käse Spaetzle Sep 19th 2013, 13:39 When my wife and I lived in Austria, this was one of our comfort foods. This recipe is modified from the Culinaria Cookbooks | Rating: 0 Created: Sep 19, 2013 2:39:31 PM | | Best yet Rustic Split Pea Soup Sep 19th 2013, 12:32 I think this combination turned out especially well. The smoked turkey leg tastes just like ham. With croutons on top or some cornbread, it's a meal! Long simmering time allows the peas to get completely soft and break down so you don't have to puree them. | Rating: 0 Created: Sep 19, 2013 1:32:05 PM | | |
