Oven-Roasted Beets and Garlic (WW)
Sep 15th 2014, 00:37

I've never made garden-fresh beets before, and I hate the canned ones and the pickled ones. A friend grew them in their garden, and this was a terrific way to eat them. They grow here in Idaho so it's probably about time I cooked some. Recipe courtesy of Weight Watchers New Complete Cookbook.

I needed to make cookies but wanted it to be quicker. I found this recipe using a cookie mix from 101 Things To Do With a Cake Mix. Pretty impressive...Serving size is estimated.

Iron Skillet Blackberry Cobbler
Sep 15th 2014, 00:09

This is great with any combination of fruits. Have the cobbler ready and place on grill when just sitting down to dinner. A cast iron or heavy skillet is a must.

Habanero Jelly
Sep 14th 2014, 21:43

After much research on other Food.com recipes and some other sources on You Tube, I came up with the following. Nice heat, but won't cause you to breathe fire; you still get the taste of the peppers. Great over cream cheese with crackers, but also excellent on pork, burgers, whatever. Yum!

Habanero and Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies
Sep 14th 2014, 21:16

They may look innocent, but these little cookies are packed full of flavor from the first bite. First you are hit with a burst of orange, followed by the sweet, delicious chocolate. Then comes just a little bit of heat. Awesome! The perfect cookie to have with a nice tall glass of milk!

Easy Cheesy Lasagna(No Boil)
Sep 14th 2014, 21:16

A no boil lasagna that uses regular lasagna noodles. Easy to assemble, but allow enough time to cook. Family favorite for decades, especially the Florentine version. The Florentine version is vegetarian. To make this easier, I have bought already shredded cheese. The Italian mixed cheese is especially good. I found this recipe on the back of a Golden Grain/Mission Lasagna noodle box decades ago. I

Protein Bread, Machine
Sep 14th 2014, 21:16

This recipe is for a 2 pound zojirushi bread machine. It's a pretty robust recipe, I've swapped a few of the ingredient (like apples for carrots, or hemp/chia for flax) at times and the results are usually very good. The end result will be a heavy bread...probably closer to 3 pounds. Easy to cut into thinner pieces.
