Syrian Tangy Red Pepper and Nut Dip - Muhammara
Sep 12th 2013, 21:45

The classic Syrian nut dip muhammara typically contains walnuts, bread crumbs, Aleppo pepper paste and pomegranate syrup, but there are endless variations. The bright-flavored take here is adapted from a recipe by Anissa Helou's Syrian chef-friend Mohammed Antabli. Pistachios, cashews and freshly toasted pine nuts, almonds and walnuts give it a chunky texture, while onions and red bell peppers make it tangy-sweet. Recipe from Food and Wine magazine.

Hot Fudge Sauce - so Good!
Sep 12th 2013, 18:18

I have had this recipe so long I don't know it's origin - but I do know it's fantastic. If you recognize it and know where it came from, please share it with me! Incredible hot but I eat it by the spoonful from the fridge too - shh! Makes a great gift! I prefer Dutch Process cocoa but regular baking cocoa is great too.

Italian Quinoa Skillet
Sep 12th 2013, 16:48

Looking for a healthier alternative to pasta, I came up with this entree for my newly vegetarian teen son. He gave it two thumbs up and dubbed it a cross between spaghetti and pizza. I hope your family enjoys it, too! Omit the cheese for a completely vegan dish.
