Green Velvet Cake
Jun 26th 2014, 21:18

Don't throw out the tops of your garden produce!! Radish greens, beet greens, spinach or romaine lettuce all work beautifully in this unusual application, lending it a fabulous green hue. Don't worry, though - all you taste is rich vanilla!

Dad's World Famous Spaghetti
Jun 26th 2014, 21:06

Pasta with White Clam Sauce (pg. 343 in The Original New York Times Cookbook by Craig Claiborne) This recipe was the favorite of my wife's father. When people asked about it, he always told them that it was "Dad's World Famous Spaghetti", and in our family, the name stuck.

Amazing Cherry Crisp
Jun 26th 2014, 17:14

Nothing better than fresh cherry crisp! I make this with fresh cherries. Sure, you can use canned, but it's worth it to go with the real thing. Doesn't matter what kind; just adjust the sugar a bit if you're using pie cherries. I made mine with bings.

Herb-Marinated Skirt Steak from Fine Cooking
Jun 26th 2014, 11:52

Serves six to eight. from Fine Cooking For the best flavor and tenderness, cook these steaks to medium rare or just barely medium. Thinner skirt steaks will cook more quickly. If you can't grill these steaks, sear-roast them
