Cheddar Bay Biscuits, My Way
Apr 2nd 2014, 18:47

These are a take on the red lobster biscuits, I found it on a website but I had to tweak it to what I had in the house since I wasn't about to drive a 45 minute round trip to make the recipe work as written. I have since made them both ways...but I like mine better!

Crockpot Carnitas
Apr 2nd 2014, 18:43

The easiest way that I have ever made carnitas for my family. The best part is putting it under the broiler for a little bit to get some crunchy texture with a sprinkle of lime on it.

Cascades Pepper Dressing
Apr 2nd 2014, 15:24

My wife and I loved eating at the Cascades Restaurant in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. The breakfast buffet was spectacular, and dinner in the evenings was always a romantic experience. Our favorite salad dressing from the Restaurant was their homemade Pepper Dressing. This recipe, for an amount for the home cook, was in the Williamsburg Cookbook. When we made it at home, we discovered it also is a great dip for raw vegetables. Unfortunately, the restaurant is now gone, but our memories of it live on when we serve this dressing.

Easy and Delicious Pork Dijonnaise
Apr 2nd 2014, 15:18

So simple and tastes great! I am not a pork lover, but this was so good I ate the whole chop and wished for leftovers. I used julienned dill pickle slices instead of the gherkins.

Light and Tart Cole Slaw (Low Mayo)
Apr 2nd 2014, 15:16

Red apple adds color and punch to this tangy cole slaw. It is so light and refreshing compared to the heavy mayo cole slaws. Also has less sugar since it has the natural sugars of the apples. With a bit of pepper sauce it makes a fun, festive side to ribs, fish or chicken.

Tokyo Fried Chicken
Apr 2nd 2014, 15:16

Dusting the chicken with cornstarch before frying makes for a slightly lighter crust. Super juicy!

Blackened Tuna With Tangy Mustard Sauce
Apr 2nd 2014, 15:16

This dish also works great in a saut? pan on the stove top. Add as much cayenne as you like, or none at all to adjust the heat. The yogurt-based sauce helps cool it down.
