About two years ago, my fiance woke up in the middle of the night with cramps so excruciatingly painful that I was seriously considering taking her to the ER. While doing some online research to see what could help her in that instant, I read about the benefits of cramp bark extract. We got her cramping under control that night, but the next day we visited our local health food store and bought a bottle of this miracle juice. She hasn't gone a month without it since! While this product does not help with headache, fatigue or mood swings (and I can attest to that!), it has made that one week every month a whole lot more manageable for her. The taste of the extract is very bitter. I honestly can't even tolerate the smell of it. Her practice has been to mix a whole dropper full in with some chocolate milk. In fact, if there's no chocolate milk then she's reluctant to take it! However, we were at a bed and breakfast a few months back when some bad cramping started to settle in. Alas, there was no chocolate milk - and it seemed like the end of a perfectly good getaway! I put about 10 drops in a large glass of water. The cramping eased up and she could hardly taste the extract.
