Dilled Mashed Potatoes Mar 25th 2013, 20:47 I just recently discovered how good dill is in mashed potatoes. | Rating: 0 Created: Mar 25, 2013 8:47:45 PM | | Matzo Farfel Kugel Mar 25th 2013, 19:48 I wanted something to use up some matzo farfel, and I wanted a matzo kugel for my Passover dinner, so I cobbled this version together. | Rating: 0 Created: Mar 25, 2013 7:48:58 PM | | Migas - Spanish Style Mar 25th 2013, 19:09 These are not the Tex-Mex version of Migas, these are authentic Spanish Migas. Both styles are delicious, they are simply different. The best bread for migas is a peasant bread with a very dense crumb. Open crumb breads like baguettes or ciabattas are not good for migas. Stale bread works best. Migas is a poor man's dish. I have included mesurements, but I don't use them, and you shouldn't be bound by them. Just cook it, love it, and eat it:) Note: Overnight time is included in prep time. | Rating: 0 Created: Mar 25, 2013 7:09:05 PM | | Hand Sanitizing Gel Mar 25th 2013, 17:38 From Utah Preppers. Here's what they say, "This has been an interesting experiment and learning experience. I set out a couple days ago to figure out how to make hand sanitizer at home. With an immune fragile child in our home, we sanitize a LOT! After doing copious amounts of research and extended experimentation last night, I believe I have found a reliable and effective way to make hand sanitizer at home. First, some background: To be effective, hand sanitizers MUST contain a minimum of 60% alcohol by concentration. Alcohol kills germs by dessication, meaning that it dries them out through rapid evaporation. A lower concentration of alcohol results in not having enough alcohol to rapidly evaporate and dry out the microbes on your hands. There are many recipes on the internet that result in an over-dilluted mixture which will prove to be very ineffective at killing germs." This works for me! If you want, you could add a few drops of your favorite scent. | Rating: 0 Created: Mar 25, 2013 5:38:05 PM | | Hand Sanitizing Gel Mar 25th 2013, 17:38 From Utah Preppers. For the best flavor and consistency, use a really ripe, sweet, soft pear. If your ingredients aren't cold, add ice to the blender or your glass but done put ice cubes in a food processor: use crushed ice. | Rating: 0 Created: Mar 25, 2013 4:45:40 PM | | All Natural Oat Cookies Mar 25th 2013, 16:40 All natural, no flour, no sugar, unprocessed cookie. This is a full-bodied main dish substantial enough for the heartiest appetite. Thinly sliced sweet potatoes are a must. Finely chopping the spinach--like a chiffon cut--helps disperse the flavor throughout. | Rating: 0 Created: Mar 25, 2013 4:35:08 PM | | Best Darn Mussels You'll Ever Eat - With Pasta Mar 25th 2013, 16:31 I found this recipe on canadiancove.com and I'm putting it here for safe keeping. It's the best I've ever used. The website says "A Regional U.S. recipe by Cathy Silvey and Richard Wood of Mercer Island, Washington. Winner of First Place in the 1993 National Mussel Recipe Contest" I doubled this recipe and used 1 large jalapeno with seeds and it turned out perfectly. | Rating: 0 Created: Mar 25, 2013 4:31:24 PM | | Slice and Bake Oatmeal Raisin Cookies Mar 25th 2013, 16:25 Healthy whole wheat adds to the nutritional value and adds a nice nutty flavor.
